Marian Centre Edmonton

I have made arrangements for our Council to work the following dates at the Marian Centre (10528 98 street Edmonton) to prepare and serve meals to the less fortunate.  All dates are Saturdays and volunteer assistance will be needed between 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM.

• January 22, 2011
• March 26, 2011

Please mark your calendars and when the request for assistance comes in future newsletters be prepared to put your name forward.  It is a very rewarding experience.

The Marian Centre always welcomes volunteers for mid-week meal preparation and serving.  If you have the free time please contact the Centre and offer your assistance.  You can reach them at (780) 424-3544. 

The Centre is always in need of clothing especially warm clothing for the colder months of the year.  Coats, toques, gloves, shoes, boots, sweaters and underwear are some of the essential.  Check your closets for anything you are not using and can provide to this worthy organization.  In addition, toiletries are much in demand.   Food donations are also accepted (canned, dry foods and beverages, all inspected raw meats and fruits and vegetables).  These can be taken directly to the Centre (address above) or you can call me at (780) 434-7059.
