Dear David,
Thank you for your recent correspondence outlining your opposition to the
legalization of euthanasia and assisted suicide as proposed by Bill
C-384. This Bill was put forward by Bloc Québécois MP, Francine Lalonde
who has proposed similar Private Members' Bills in previous sessions of
Parliament.
Like you, and virtually every constituent who took the time to weigh in on this
issue, I am strongly opposed to this Bill. I will certainly vote against
it or any similar future Bill. We need to promote measures that increase
the quality of life for people who experience difficult life circumstances, and
not introduce measures that threaten their very existence.
Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns on this important matter,
and for your support. Please know that your continued advocacy on life
and family issues - with all three levels of government - is extremely
important.

I hope you are having a good Sunday with your family. Our Archbishop Richard
Smith, is urging all Catholics to speak up against this incomprehensible
private members bill. I sincerely hope you plan to be in parliament that day,
speak up against it, and vote for life as any good Christian should. I have
faith in you, which is why I voted for you. I will pray for all politicians
today.
